Sankranthi Vacation - Road trip to Vizianagaram

Where do I begin!!!  I've been busy from past couple of months due to health issues, exams and a lot more that's happening in my life. I'm finally back on my blog, maybe after an year😱 yes! that's a huge gap I know.
This is my first blog post of 2019 and I wanted to keep it raw and natural! so, let's get started-
Sankranthi is one festival that we celebrate with our entire family and guests, and to mention, there's gonna be tooooo much fun happening on those festival days [bhogi, Sankranthi, kanuma] I wait for this festival coz I can shop a lot , meet my family and not to forget the food😋

Day 1 : We took a road trip to my dad's village near Vizianagaram and it was epic! we Packed our bags the night before and started at 6 in the morning. In fact we thought of starting at 5 am but as usual delayed!😅 I'm glad we started at 6am coz it was damn foggy out side and no body could drive at that point and we're stuck on the ORR for almost an hour! I mean it's that foggy, we just got down took pictures, waited for a while and then started, It was foggy till freaking 9am. We took tiny breaks in between and my dad loves driving so he generally enjoy every moment but!! the day we started was bad man! coz there were too many people going to their villages in Andhra for festival so the roads were mad, traffic every where. It literally took 9 hours to reach Vijaywada, not kidding! It hardly takes 4 hours to reach that place. Okay, after all this we did not give up, my dad wanted to reach the destination so he kept on driving! Here comes the interesting part 😆 we googled the shortest distance for Vizianagaram and it took us to some forest area road where we could not even see a single person and its 12:30 in the mid night! No street lights, no people around, bad road, and cannot even go back coz it was that scary! We were petrified but we had to get out of that situation as soon as possible so we just drove as the google maps have shown. Finally, we reached Vizianagaram at 1:30am. Well, that day was crazy we were extremely tired, we just slept after we reached our cousin's place.

Day 2 : We woke up at 7am and then started to my dad's village, It took 2 hours to reach that place and what to say! I felt sick that day [fever, cold] Ohh gosh! I was on bed the entire day just taking rest.

Day 3 : BHOGI - I had too much food starting from sweets to all kinds of food 😅 I didn't care about my fever! but I was taking tablets. Most of the time I ate and slept! that's the thing😂 My sister had a lot of fun. People around were putting up rangoli, flying kites and Everyone is super dressed up but I was on bed sleeping😴

Day 4 : SANKRANTHI - I was bored being on the bed all the time while others are having fun so I took my cousin along and went to explore the village on a scooty! I absolutely loved the weather and the atmosphere, There's no pollution so I enjoyed. Had the best food on Sankranthi with so many varieties of sweets and typical South Indian dishes.

Day 5 : KANUMA - I was a lil better on this day, was quite active! Explored the Village and went to the sugarcane field and Mango farm, Had a great time with my cousins.
Every year there would be YATRA in the village on Kanuma where people from different places come to the temple and also shop, eat at Yatra so it was a crazy experience with too much crowd around😛

DAY 6 & DAY 7 : Our car gave us some trouble so we had to take a break at Vijaywada and also it was getting late in the night so we felt like taking a break. The next morning we got back to Hyderabad.

This was my first trip in 2019 and was really memorable! I had some great moments with my family and cousins. Hope you all enjoyed reading this!

Loads of love

Gold all over!

Have you ever taught of recreating your mom's looks? We all tend to try out different styles, fashion trends, etc but wearing a mom's saree will be so special. For this wedding season styling your mom's saree can be a great idea rather wearing an Anarkali, tulle dress!
I choose to wear this gorgeous golden yellow tissue saree which is so light weight and comfortable.I know this is not my cup of tea but trying out her looks is quite interesting. I managed to look as similar as her, I don't really have such long hair 😁(its fake hair)

Golden saree is a stunning outfit, we can actually style it in so many different ways but I stick to the very natural 90's look! That's the reason I did not use any makeup except a black Kajal. My mom is not a makeup lover so she didn't knew anything about it back then.
This is a typical Telugu girl look! I absolutely love it as I find myself really different/strange😛
I basically did not accessorise much! just added some gold earrings and a chain. To complete the look I kept a bindi! which makes a huge difference in the look!

Outfit: mom's saree
Watch : Titan
Earrings/chain : Khazana
